EAST PRAIRIE -- Etta Jane Sams Clark, 89, of East Prairie, died Monday, June 29, 1992, at Sikeston Convalescent Center in Sikeston. She was born Feb. 22, 1903, at East Prairie, daughter of John Lace and Lila Mae Broy Perry. She married William Paul Sams in 1919, who died in February 1971. She later married Alton Lee Clark July 3, 1972...

EAST PRAIRIE -- Etta Jane Sams Clark, 89, of East Prairie, died Monday, June 29, 1992, at Sikeston Convalescent Center in Sikeston.

She was born Feb. 22, 1903, at East Prairie, daughter of John Lace and Lila Mae Broy Perry. She married William Paul Sams in 1919, who died in February 1971. She later married Alton Lee Clark July 3, 1972.

Clark was a member of the Church of Christ.

Survivors include her husband; three daughters, Jeanne Crowley of Sikeston, Geraldine Hensley of Roswell, N.M., Kathleen Baker of Fairoaks, Calif.; a brother, Cecil Perry of Indianapolis, Ind.; five grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, two sisters and a brother.

Friends may call at Shelby Funeral Home here from 7-9 p.m. today, and from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Thursday.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday in the chapel, with John Hoover and Pat Hogan officiating. Burial will be in Dogwood Cemetery near here.
