SCOTT CITY -- Ethel M. Innis, 91, of Scott City died Tuesday, Feb. 24, 1998, at St. Anthony's Medical Center in St. Louis. She was born Nov. 7, 1906, in Humphrey County, Tenn., daughter of George and Emma Blackwell Ballard. She and William M. Innis were married Sept. 3, 1938, at Illmo. He died April 15, 1983...

SCOTT CITY -- Ethel M. Innis, 91, of Scott City died Tuesday, Feb. 24, 1998, at St. Anthony's Medical Center in St. Louis.

She was born Nov. 7, 1906, in Humphrey County, Tenn., daughter of George and Emma Blackwell Ballard. She and William M. Innis were married Sept. 3, 1938, at Illmo. He died April 15, 1983.

Innis was a member of Illmo United Methodist Church and Ladies Auxiliary to United Trainmen.

Survivors include two sons, David Innis of Arnold, Owen Innis of Scott City; two brothers, Norman Ballard of St. Louis, Woodrow Ballard of Marshall, Texas; seven grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son and four brothers.

Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City after 5 p.m. Thursday.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the chapel, with the Rev. William Dickey officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park in Cape Girardeau.
