ANNA, Ill. -- Funeral for Ethel P. Glover of Anna will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Crain Funeral Home in Anna. The Revs. Richard Sullins and Jack Wolfe will officiate. Burial will be in Anna Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 5-8 p.m. today.
Glover, 93, died Tuesday, Sept. 28, 1999, at Union County Hospital.
She was born Sept. 29, 1905, in Winchester, daughter of B.F. and Mabel Smith Parr. She and Charles N. Glover were married June 16, 1934. He died Oct. 18, 1994.
Glover received a master of arts degree from the University of Illinois. She was an English teacher at Ullin, Cobden and Anna-Jonesboro High School, retiring from the latter in 1971.
She was a member of Anna United Methodist Church, active in its United Methodist Women, and had been a Sunday School teacher. She was a member of Retired Teachers Association and Union County Republican Women's Club.
Glover had been a Red Cross volunteer and was a former member of Stinson Library Board.
Survivors include a daughter, Joyce Glover of Anna; a sister, Carmen Chesnut of Columbus, Ind.; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter and a brother.
