EAST CAPE GIRARDEAU, Ill. -- Funeral service for Ethel J. Bledsoe of Roxana, was held Monday at Marks Mortuary in Wood River. The Rev. Roy Gibbs officiated.

Bledsoe, 90, died Friday, July 11, 1997, at VIP Manor Nursing Home in Roxana.

She was born March 17, 1907, in East Cape, daughter of Charles and Maney Ahrens Edmundson. She married Preston Bledsoe, who died in 1969.

Survivors include a daughter, Helen Tinsley of Roxana; three sisters, Margaret Jordon of Tamms, Louella Craun of Oklahoma City, Okla., Ramona Siegfried of Alton; and three grandchildren.
