ESTHER WICHERN

UNIONTOWN -- Esther W.P. Wichern, 87, of Uniontown died Sunday, April 30, 2000, at Perry County Nursing Home in Perryville.

She was born June 12, 1912, at Uniontown, daughter of Gottfried Hemmann and Emma Kanke. She and Rudolph H. Wichern were married Nov. 15, 1936. He died Dec. 8, 1991.

Wichern was a member of Grace Lutheran Church.

Survivors include three sons, William "Bill" Wichern of O'Fallon, Charles "Chuck" Wichern of West Plains, Richard Wichern of Fair Grove; a brother, Ulysses Hemmann of Longtown; a sister, Erna Bock of Uniontown; nine grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by four brothers.

Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Home from 4-9 p.m. today, and Wednesday from 6:30-8:30 a.m.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Grace Lutheran Church, with the Rev. Paul Winningham officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
