Esther Roberts

Esther Marie Roberts, daughter of the late Napoleon Dallas and Martha Ann McIntyre Cook, was born Jan. 4, 1923, in Whitewater and departed her life Monday, Dec. 11, 2023, at Monroe Manor Residential Care in Paris, Missouri, at the age of 100.

She was a member of First Baptist Church in Harrison, Arkansas, for several years and Order of Eastern Star.

On March 15, 1942, she was united in marriage to Charles Jefferson Roberts. He preceded her in death.

Survivors include four grandchildren, Jeffrey Allen Roberts, Christopher James Roberts, Sandra Faye Dickey and Nathan Paul Smith; 12 great-grandchildren; and 16 great-great-grandchildren.

Besides her husband and parents, Esther was preceded in death by a son, Carl Roberts; daughter, Paula Kaye Smith; eight brothers; five sisters; one grandchild; and two great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from noon to 1:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 15, at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran, Missouri.

Funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 15, at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Forrest Hills Cemetery in Morley, Missouri.
