CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Esther Morris, 65, of Chaffee passed away Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2016, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Oct. 14, 1950, in Cape Girardeau County to the late Claude and Maude Lou Tidwell Sullinger.
She married Bishop Tom J. Morris on Oct. 20, 1968, and he survives of the home.
Esther was a retired supervisor for Visiting Nurse Association in Cape Girardeau. She was a member of The Church of God and a member of Women's Missionary Band.
Survivors include her husband, Bishop Tom Morris of Chaffee; three sons, Tom (Michelle) Kilburn of Jackson and Shane (Jill) Morris and Shawn (April) Morris, both of Cape Girardeau; a daughter, Julie (Mark) James of Jackson; two brothers, Cletus Sullinger of Phoenix and Norman Sullinger of St. Peters, Missouri; five sisters, Lois Cook, Joyce Smith, Doris White and Geneva Brown, all of Chaffee, and Karen Buchheit of Jackson; and 11 grandchildren, Madeline Morris, Natalie James, Haley Morris, Blake Morris, Nora Kilburn, Gracen James, Mason Morris, Eva Kilburn, Aidan Morris, Brock Kilburn and Ethan Morris.
She was preceded in death by a sister.
Visitation will begin at 4 p.m. today at The Church of God on Highway 77 in Chaffee.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the church, with Bishop David McCormick and Bishop Bill Harley officiating. Burial will be in Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield, Missouri.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like memorials to be made to The Ministerial Alliance Chaffee Food Pantry.
