Esther E. Meyr, 95, of Jackson died Thursday, July 22, 2004, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau. She was born June 6, 1909, at New Wells, daughter of John H. and Anna M. Winter Huttegger. She and Edward C. Meyr were married Feb. 15, 1931. He died July 15, 1983...

Esther E. Meyr, 95, of Jackson died Thursday, July 22, 2004, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

She was born June 6, 1909, at New Wells, daughter of John H. and Anna M. Winter Huttegger. She and Edward C. Meyr were married Feb. 15, 1931. He died July 15, 1983.

Esther was a lifelong member of Immanuel Lutheran Church at New Wells.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Vernon E. and Shirley Meyr of Jackson; a sister, Mildred Meyr of Cape Girardeau; two grandchildren, Linda Schreiner and Karen Roth of Oak Ridge; and two great-grandchildren.

Friends may call at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday, and at Immanuel Lutheran Church after 9 a.m. Monday.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the church, with the Rev. Wayne Palmer officiating. Burial will be in Immanuel Cemetery.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the church or charity of one's choice.
