ESTHER MCMILLEN

SIKESTON -- Esther McMillen, 81, of Sikeston died Sunday, Dec. 6, 1998, at her home.

She was born March 20, 1917, in Doniphan, daughter of Baker E. and Florence Mangold Barnes. She and Irvie McMillen were married Sept. 30, 1934, at Risco. He died Oct. 13, 1986.

Survivors include four sons, Ervie McMillen of Dallas, Texas, Arthur McMillen of Kewanee, Jerry McMillen of East Prairie, John McMillen of Sikeston; four daughters, Shirley Braden, Della Hubbard and Diana Pearson of Sikeston, and Patricia Yedlicka of St. Louis.

Also surviving are two brothers, Melvin Barnes of Portage, Mich., Emerson Barnes of Muskegon, Mich.; a sister, Elsie Presley of Portage; 20 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers and six sisters.

Friends may call at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel from 5-8 p.m. today.

Funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the chapel, with Minister Johnny Hester officiating. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
