Esther L. Maevers, 84, of Cape Girardeau, died Saturday, July 15, 2006, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau. She was born March 31, 1922, in Egypt Mills, daughter of Sherman and Leona Foeste Maevers. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Egypt Mills, Mo., and resided in southern California for 40 years...

Esther L. Maevers, 84, of Cape Girardeau, died Saturday, July 15, 2006, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

She was born March 31, 1922, in Egypt Mills, daughter of Sherman and Leona Foeste Maevers.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Egypt Mills, Mo., and resided in southern California for 40 years.

Survivors include two sisters, Birdie Fortenberry and Mabel Green and a brother, Dale Gene Maevers, all of Cape Girardeau.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and two sisters.

Friends may call from noon to 1 p.m. today at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. today at the funeral home with the Rev. Kevin Olson officiating. Burial will be at Egypt Mills Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery in Egypt Mills.
