Esther Heisserer

KELSO, Mo. -- Esther M. Heisserer, 88, of Kelso died Saturday, July 8, 2006, at The Lutheran Home.

She was born Jan. 13, 1918, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of George E. and Mary Dittrich Roth. She and Paul Aloysius Heisserer were married April 21, 1954, at Chaffee, Mo.

Heisserer was a teacher at St. Augustine Catholic School. She was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church in Kelso, St. Ann's Ladies Sodality and the church organist for many years.

Survivors include a nephew, George Dirnberger of Overland Park, Kan., and a niece, Rita Lamers of Troy, Mich.

She was preceded in death by her husband and a sister.

Friends may call from 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Augustine Catholic Church. Funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday with the Rev. Oliver Clavin officiating.

Burial will be in St. Augustine Cemetery at Kelso.

Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City is in charge of arrangements.
