Esther E. Pensel, 84, of Cape Girardeau, died Sunday, Feb. 8, 1998, at the Lutheran Home.
She was born Sept. 29, 1913, in Cape Girardeau County, daughter of George and Emma Perry Farrow.
She and Herbert H. Pensel were married May 11, 1945, in St. Louis. He died May 7, 1991.
Pensel graduated from Fruitland High School in 1931.
Survivors include a son, Gary H. Pensel of Poplar Bluff; two daughters, Emma J. Thompson and Margie Kaye Fox, both of Cape Girardeau; five brothers, George Farrow, Elmer Farrow and Alvin Farrow, all of Cape Girardeau, Oliver Farrow of Alton, Ill., Russell Farrow of Cairo, Ill.; three sisters, Ruby Kraft and June Mahy, both of Cape Girardeau and Betty Ward of Murphysboro, Ill.; and two grandchildren.
Friends may call today from 4 to 8 p.m. at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Chapel.
Funeral service will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the chapel, with the Rev. David Dissen, officiating. Burial will be in Fairmount Cemetery.
