ESTELLE SMITH

PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Estelle C. Conley Smith, 87, of Perryville died Sunday, July 15, 2001, at Perry County Nursing Home.

She was born March 3, 1914, in Perry County, Mo., daughter of William and Jessie Cagel Conley. She and Herbert J. Smith were married May 27, 1945. He died May 6, 1963.

Smith had worked at International Shoe Co., and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.

Survivors include six sons, Robert Rankin of Harley, Pa., Delbert Fischer of Mabank, Texas, Eugene Burgfeld of Grand Prairie, Texas, Hubert Francis, Joseph Earl Smith and Joseph Richard Smith, all of Madison County, Mo.; four daughters, Carol Smith of Independence, Mo., Sharon Farmer of St. Charles, Mo., Linda Ruessler of Perryville, Mary Smith of Missouri; a brother, John Conley of Marietta, Ga.; and several grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sisters.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Calvary Baptist Church. The Rev. Don Cox will officiate. Burial will be in Brown Cemetery in Perry County.

Friends may call at the church Wednesday from 10 a.m. until time of service.
