ERWIN PFEIFFER

JACKSON -- Erwin Pfeiffer, 86, of Jackson died Sunday, Dec. 13, 1992, at Deal Nursing Home in Jackson.

He was born April 8, 1906 at Pocahontas, the son of Alvin Pfeiffer and Alvina Koenig Pfeiffer.

He married Edna Miesner on April 21, 1935. She died Jan. 23, 1989.

He is survived by two sons, Robert Pfeiffer, Jackson, Cletus Pfeiffer, Fariboult, Minn.; one brother, Victor Pfeiffer, Jackson Route 1; two sisters, Gusta Boren, Jackson, Hattie Hahs, Pocahontas; six grandchildren; and one great-grandson.

One son, two brothers and one sister preceded him in death.

Pfeiffer was dairy farmer from 1935 to 1988, when he and his wife moved to Jackson. He transferred his membership from Zion Lutheran Church in Pocahontas to St. Paul Lutheran in Jackson in 1988.

He was a former Republican Committeeman for the Shawnee Township and had held various church offices while at Zion Lutheran Church.

He was a resident of the Deal Nursing Home for past four years.

Funeral service will be held Wednesday at 10:30 a.m. at McCombs Funeral Chapel in Jackson with the Rev. Lawrence Etherton officiating. Burial will follow in Russell Heights Cemetery.

Friends may call 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
