ST. ANN, Mo. -- Erwin E. Lowes, 81, formerly of Oak Ridge, Mo., died Tuesday, July 31, 2001, at his home in St. Ann.
He was born May 19, 1920, at Oak Ridge, son of August and Cora Ludwig Lowes.
He was a former member of St. John's United Church of Christ in Fruitland, Mo. He worked for McDonnell-Douglas in St. Louis for 43 years, retiring in 1983. He was a member of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers Lodge 837C in St. Louis for 43 years.
Survivors include two brothers, Harold Lowes of Old Appleton, Mo., and Cletus Lowes of Jackson, Mo.; a niece; and other relatives.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and a sister.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Saturday at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home, with the Rev. David Schaffner officiating. Burial will be in St. John's United Church of Christ Cemetery in Fruitland.
