UNIONTOWN, Mo. -- Erwin P. Kasten, 85, of Uniontown died Sunday, Feb. 11, 2001, at the Missouri Veterans Home in Cape Girardeau.
He was born Dec. 17, 1915, in Uniontown, son of Arthur and Agnes Telle Kasten.
He was an agricultural and livestock farmer and a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served in World War II.
He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Uniontown, American Legion Post 133, the VFW in Perryville, Mo., and Cape Girardeau, AMVETS and Disabled American Veterans.
Survivors include a brother, Elmer Kasten, and a sister, Wilma Schuessler, both of Perryville.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers.
Friends may call from 9-11 a.m. Tuesday at Young and Sons Chapel in Perryville.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the chapel. The Rev. Paul Winningham will officiate, with burial in the church cemetery. Military graveside service will be provided by American Legion Post 133.
