PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Ervin W. Meyer, 74, of Perryville died Wednesday, Dec. 15, 2004, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. He was born Jan. 23, 1930, in Ste. Genevieve, Mo., son of Leo Theodore and Erline Julianna Lalumondiere Meyer. He and Patsy Ann Abernathy were married June 9, 1956. She died Nov. 8, 1994...

PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Ervin W. Meyer, 74, of Perryville died Wednesday, Dec. 15, 2004, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Jan. 23, 1930, in Ste. Genevieve, Mo., son of Leo Theodore and Erline Julianna Lalumondiere Meyer. He and Patsy Ann Abernathy were married June 9, 1956. She died Nov. 8, 1994.

Meyer was a retired appliance repairman. He was a member of Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Sereno, Mo., American Legion Post 150 in Ste. Genevieve, VFW Post 3553 in Chester, Ill., Perryville Elks Lodge 2701, and member and past president of Perry County Sportsman Club.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict.

Survivors include three sons, Ervin "Butch" Meyer Jr. and Monte Meyer of Perryville, Duane Meyer of Sedgewickville, Mo.; two brothers, Donald Meyer of Florida, Arthur Meyer of Ste. Genevieve; two sisters, Erline Martin and Marilyn Figge of Ste. Genevieve; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers.

Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Home from 4 to 8 p.m. today, and Saturday from 6:30 to 9:30 a.m. The wake will be at 7 tonight.

Funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Our Lady of Victory Church, with the Rev. Francis Agnew officiating. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery, with military graveside rites by American Legion Post 133.
