Funeral service for Ervie L. Brown of Cape Girardeau will be held at 2 p.m. today at Lorberg Memorial Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Kendal Hicks will officiate, with burial in Lindsey Cemetery at McClure, Ill.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 11 a.m. A Masonic service will be held at 1 p.m.
Brown, 74, of Cape Girardeau, died Wednesday, April 21, 1993, at Doctors' Hospital in Poplar Bluff.
He was born June 5, 1918, at McClure, son of Bennett and Clara Harding Brown.
Brown was an engineer many years with Missouri Pacific Railroad out of Dupo, Ill. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.
Survivors include two sons, Ervie L. Brown of Ketchikan, Alaska, Arley Brown of Midway, Ark.; two daughters, Cindy Barnet of Fairdealing, Clara Young of Ketchikan; a brother, David Brown of McClure; 14 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
