SIKESTON -- Funeral service for Ernest Wallace will be held at 2 p.m. today at Ponder Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Jim Guffie will officiate, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from noon to service time.
Wallace, 89, died Monday, Dec. 7, 1992, at Sells Rest Home in Matthews.
He was born March 27, 1903, in Cape Girardeau, son of Arch H. and Fannie McGill Wallace. He and Alma Kirkpatrick were married Nov. 19, 1929. She died July 25, 1991.
Wallace had worked at International Shoe Co., and was a member of First Baptist Church here.
Survivors include two sons, Ronald Wallace of Sikeston, retired Navy Commander Ernest Wallace of Camp Springs, Md.; three daughters, Lawanna Noyes and Elizabeth Heuiser of Sikeston, Gloria Clark of Overland Park, Kan.; two brothers, Robert Wallace of Cape Girardeau, George Wallace of Long Beach, Fla., and a sister, Lillian Sieberg of Cape Girardeau.
