Ernest Frank "Red" Foster, 82, of Cape Girardeau died Wednesday, March 4, 1998, at St. Francis Medical Center.
He was born May 3, 1915, in Cape Girardeau, son of Ernest Brown and Marie Beatrice Hitt Foster. He and Beatrice "Bea" Price were married 57 years ago.
Foster attended Central High School and Frye Sheet Metal School in St. Louis.
He had been a sheet metal worker with Sanders Heating and Air Conditioning. He had also worked at Curtis Wright and McDonnell Douglas in St. Louis.
Foster was a member of the first auxiliary police unit in Cape Girardeau.
Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Linda Whaley of St. Louis, Patricia Brown of Cape Girardeau; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Fairmount Cemetery, with the Rev. Philip Curran officiating.
Lorberg Memorial Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
