Ernest Lee Cutright Sr., 65, of Montgomery City, Mo., died Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2007, at Harry S. Truman Veterans Hospital in Columbia, Mo.
He was born June 24, 1942, in Cape Girardeau, son of Delzie and Hazel Jones Cutright. He and Ruth Horwitz were married Feb. 15, 1964, in Cape Girardeau.
Cutright attended Cape Girardeau public schools, and graduated from American High School. He worked almost 34 years for Cargill Inc., retiring July 31, 2007. He was a member of Mid-Mo Shriners, St. Louis Moolah Shrine Temple, and Montgomery City Masonic Lodge 246.
He served two years in the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Lee Cutright of Montgomery City, Darren Cutright of Kingsville, Mo.; two sisters, Betty Edwards of Montgomery City, Jacalyn Mueller of Jackson; a brother, Roy Cutright of Kentucky; and three grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two stepfathers.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Schlanker Funeral Home in Montgomery City. A Masonic service will be held at 8.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. David Knight officiating. Burial will be in Montgomery City Cemetery with military honors.
