UNIONTOWN, Mo. -- Erna A.E. Bock, 89, of Uniontown died Thursday, May 20, 2010, at Perry Oaks Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Perryville, Mo. She was born at Uniontown on July 5, 1920, daughter of the late Gottfried and Emma Kanke Hemmann. She and Elmer Bock were married May 19, 1945. He preceded her in death Feb. 22, 2007...

UNIONTOWN, Mo. -- Erna A.E. Bock, 89, of Uniontown died Thursday, May 20, 2010, at Perry Oaks Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Perryville, Mo.

She was born at Uniontown on July 5, 1920, daughter of the late Gottfried and Emma Kanke Hemmann. She and Elmer Bock were married May 19, 1945. He preceded her in death Feb. 22, 2007.

Survivors include a son and two daughters, Gene R. (Leola) Bock of Old Appleton, Mo., Dianna L. (Leo) Reisenbichler Jr. of Jackson, Margie M. (Eddie) Burkart of Hanceville, Ala.; seven grandchildren, James Bock, Kristi (Mike) Hoff, Michelle Bock, Louis Reisenbichler, Amanda (Homer) Ferguson, Sarah Burkart, Benjamin Burkart; and two great-grandchildren, Caitlin and Abigail Hoff.

She was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers, Louis, August, John, Edwin and Ulysses; a sister, Esther Wichern; and a granddaughter, Emy.

Mrs. Bock was a nurse aide at Perry County Nursing Home and had worked at International Shoe Co. She was a lifetime member of Grace Lutheran Church in Uniontown. One of her favorite pastimes was quilting.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today and from 6:30 to 8 a.m. Monday at Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Grace Lutheran Church in Uniontown, with the Rev. Paul Winningham officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Memorials are preferred to Grace Lutheran Church Building Fund, Saxony Lutheran School or Saxony Lutheran Memorial.
