Erma Nabe, 79, 1700 County Road 651, died Thursday, Jan. 30, 1997, at Southeast Missouri Hospital. She was born Dec. 7, 1917, at Egypt Mills, daughter of Benjamin and Clara Niedling Exler. Erma Nabe, 79, 1700 County Road 651, died Thursday, Jan. 30, 1997, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.

She was born Dec. 7, 1917, at Egypt Mills, daughter of Benjamin and Clara Niedling Exler. She and Earl G. Nabe were married July 1, 1941, at Benton.

Nabe was employed at Davis Electric 29 years. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and VFW Auxiliary.

Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Shirley Wadlow of Cape Girardeau; two brothers, Ralph and Emil Exler of Cape Girardeau; three sisters, Gertrude Cotner and Viola Schlegel of Cape Girardeau, Cecil Dunn of Henderson, Ky.; and two grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a sister.

Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel from 4-8 p.m. Saturday, and Sunday from 9 a.m.-1:30 p.m.

Funeral service will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Trinity Church, with the Revs. David Dissen and Steven MacDougall officiating. Burial will be in Hobbs Chapel Cemetery.
