Erma Lee Skelton, 84, of 2525 Boutin Road, died Saturday, June 1, 1990 at the Cape Lacroix Nursing Home in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Jan. 16, 1907 at the Vian Indian Territory to Mose and Carrie Fields Waters.
She was a school teacher at the Tahlequah Public Schools in Tahlequah, Okla. She received a B.S. and masters degree from Northeast Oklahoma State. She was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma and AAUW.
On May 31, 1937, she married Fred M. Skelton at Tahlequah, Okla. He died Dec. 29, 1983.
Survivors include: one son, Bob Skelton of Cape Girardeau; one sister, Maggie Kelley of Stillwell, Okla.; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by five brothers.
Funeral service will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the Hart Funeral Home in Tahlequah, Okla. with burial in the Tahlequah city cemetery. Friends may call at the Hart Funeral Home Tuesday.
