KARNAK, Ill. -- Erma Rimer Hill, 89, of Karnak died Saturday, Jan. 20, 2001, at Southgate Care Center in Metropolis, Ill.
She was born July 7, 1911, at Karnak, daughter of Don and Elizabeth Miller Beyke. She and her first husband, Hugh Rimer, were married 47 years.
Hill had attended McKendree College in Edwardsville, Ill., before she became a schoolteacher for the Karnak Public School, teaching third and fourth grades. She had retired from the National Education Association of Washington, D.C. Hill was a member of the Karnak United Methodist Church.
Survivors include a sister, Maxine Corzine of Karnak; six nieces; and two nephews.
She was preceded in death by her first husband; her second husband, Roscoe Hill; and three brothers.
Friends may call at Wilson Funeral Home in Karnak from 10:30 a.m. until 1 p.m. Monday.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Karnak United Methodist Church. The Revs. Steve Heisner and J.R. Woods will officiate, with burial in the Masonic Cemetery at Grand Chain, Ill.
