ERIC MELTON GOULDMAN

DEXTER -- Eric Melton Gouldman, 78, died at Dexter Memorial Hospital Saturday, May 6, 1995.

He was born May 26, 1916, in Wayne County, son of John and Sarah Gobbles Gouldman.

He married Margaret Cole on Sept. 5, 1936. She preceded him in death in June of 1981. He married Ollie Johnson on Dec. 15, 1982. She survives.

Gouldman spent most of his life in the Parma community before moving to Malden in 1988. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Pentecostal church. He served in the Army during World War II.

Survivors include a son, Dennis Gouldman of Bernie; a daughter, Sarah Edmons of Texas; a stepson, Ronald Wagoner of Eminence, Mo.; a stepdaughter, Shirley Fortner of Bernie; three sisters, Agnes Walls of Parma, Edna Parker of Flint, Mich., and Mary Bankston, of Niles, Mich. and eight grandchildren.

Service will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at the Watkins & Sons Funeral Chapel in Dexter, with the Rev. Johnnie Durham officiating. Burial will be in the Parma Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 4 p.m. today.
