WHITEWATER - Erhardt "E.W." Schoen, of Whitewater, Route 1, died Monday, Dec. 9, 1991 at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau, where he lived for three years. He was 90. He was born July 4, 1901 at Pocahontas, son of Ernst and Maria Pilz Schoen. He married the former Linda Sievers at Fruitland on Dec. 25, 1927. She died Sept. 24, 1985...

WHITEWATER - Erhardt "E.W." Schoen, of Whitewater, Route 1, died Monday, Dec. 9, 1991 at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau, where he lived for three years. He was 90.

He was born July 4, 1901 at Pocahontas, son of Ernst and Maria Pilz Schoen. He married the former Linda Sievers at Fruitland on Dec. 25, 1927. She died Sept. 24, 1985.

Surviving are a son, Marvin Schoen of Oak Ridge, Route 1; eight grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were two sons, a daughter, six sisters, and five brothers.

He was a lifetime member of St. John's Lutheran Church in Pocahontas and had farmed the family farm at Route 1 Jackson until 1970, when he retired. Schoen also operated a thrashing business and owned a saw mill earlier in his life.

Funeral service will be held at the church at 11 a.m. Thursday. The Rev. Albert F. Nyland will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Friends may call today at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson from 4 to 8 p.m. The body will go to the church at 10 a.m. Thursday.
