Funeral service for Ercie L. James, 7 Walnut, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Second Baptist Church. The Rev. Clifford Mitchell will officiate, with burial in Fairmount Cemetery.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Sprigg Street Chapel from 5-7 p.m. Sunday.
James, 91, died Wednesday, Feb. 16, 1994, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
She was born April 12, 1902, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of James and Nora Bollinger Green. She and Henderson James were married in Cape Girardeau. He died in 1950.
James had done domestic work for various Cape Girardeau families, and was a member of Second Baptist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Eli and George James of Cape Girardeau; two daughters, Bertha James and Mary Idom of Cape Girardeau; a stepdaughter, Ethelinda Brown of St. Louis; 12 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren, and a great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, three sisters and a granddaughter.
