ADVANCE -- Enzo Moroni, 87, of Advance died Thursday, Oct. 30, 1997, at his home.
He was born April 9, 1910, in Chicago, son of Lorenzo and Anita Gialnneschi Moroni. He and Dorothy Petges were married Nov. 30, 1940, in Lamont, Ill. She died Nov. 6, 1975. He later married Viola Menz April 16, 1977, at Oran.
Moroni was a retired farmer, and member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Survivors include his wife; four sons, Bill and Bob Moroni of Gilbert, La., John Moroni of Winnsboro, La., Michael Moroni of Advance; a daughter, Nancy Ashcraft of Benton; a stepson, Jerry Menz of Sikeston; two stepdaughters, Shirlee Michelsen and Sharon Brashear of Oran; a brother, Joe Moroni of Wilsonville, Ill.; 14 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; five stepgrandchildren; and three great-stepgrandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother and sister.
Friends may call at Morgan Funeral Home from 4:30-8 p.m. today. Parish prayers will be at 6:30, followed by Knights of Columbus rosary.
Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Joseph Church, with the Rev. Frederick Lutz officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
