MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Emma Ruth Shrum, 95, of Sedgewickville, Mo., died Saturday, July 1, 2006, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau. She was born March 24, 1911, in Perry County, Mo., daughter of Sebastian and Clara E. Loberg Lukefahr. She and the Rev. Fred H. Shrum were married Nov. 24, 1934, at Fredericktown, Mo. He preceded her in death in February 1997...

MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Emma Ruth Shrum, 95, of Sedgewickville, Mo., died Saturday, July 1, 2006, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

She was born March 24, 1911, in Perry County, Mo., daughter of Sebastian and Clara E. Loberg Lukefahr. She and the Rev. Fred H. Shrum were married Nov. 24, 1934, at Fredericktown, Mo. He preceded her in death in February 1997.

Shrum was a pastor's wife, a member of the Crossroads United Methodist Church and a member of the Susanna Wesley Club.

Survivors include a daughter, Corine V. Daugherty of Glenallen, Mo.; a granddaughter, Deborah Black of North Las Vegas, Nev., and a great-grandson, Andrew Black of North Las Vegas.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, Elmer, Rubin and Danny Lukefahr; and two sisters, Ada and Mary.

Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday, July 3, at Crossroads United Methodist Church in Sedgewickville.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. at the church, with the Rev. Donald Blaylock and the Rev. Anthony Stewart officiating.

Burial will follow at Crossroads Cemetery near Sedgewickville.
