EMMA RYDER

CHARLESTON, Mo. -- Emma Dodge Ryder, 89, of Brentwood died Monday, May 29, 2000, at Rosewood Care Center in Creve Coeur.

She was born June 28, 1910, in Charleston, daughter of C.I. and Martha V. Harris Lutz. She married Robert E. Ryder, who died in 1974.

Ryder was a member of the United Methodist Church in Charleston, and a longtime member of Brentwood Garden Club.

Survivors include nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by three brothers and four sisters.

Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Odd Fellows Cemetery, with Rick White officiating.

Shelby Funeral Home in Charleston is in charge of arrangements.
