GLEN ALLEN, Mo. -- Emma Jane "Nanny" Cobb, 90, of Glen Allen died Sunday, June 17, 2001, at her home. She was born Sept. 8, 1910, at Glen Allen, daughter of Noah J. and Agnes Zimmerman Burns. She and E.M. "Jack" Cobb were married Aug. 18, 1945. He died Dec. 8, 1986...

GLEN ALLEN, Mo. -- Emma Jane "Nanny" Cobb, 90, of Glen Allen died Sunday, June 17, 2001, at her home.

She was born Sept. 8, 1910, at Glen Allen, daughter of Noah J. and Agnes Zimmerman Burns. She and E.M. "Jack" Cobb were married Aug. 18, 1945. He died Dec. 8, 1986.

Cobb was a member of Glen Allen United Methodist Church, where she served as Sunday School superintendent and teacher, and was the first woman trustee at the church.

Survivors include two sons, J. Harold Chronister of Glen Allen, Jack L. Cobb of Morris, Ill.; two daughters, Janice Proffer of Marble Hill, Mo., Betty Kirkpatrick of Poplar Bluff, Mo.; 19 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, six brothers, and a grandchild.

Friends may call at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill from 4-8 p.m. today, and after 9 a.m. Wednesday at Glen Allen United Methodist Church.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church, with the Rev. Michael Woods officiating. Burial will be in Glen Allen Cemetery.
