SIKESTON -- Funeral service for Emma Blanche Johnson will be held at 10:30 a.m. today at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston. The Rev. Tom Geers will officiate, with burial in Sikeston City Cemetery.
Johnson, 102, died Monday, Dec. 18, 1995, at Sikeston Health Care.
She was born Dec. 23, 1892, in Alto Pass, Ill., daughter of Finis E. and Emma Harris Jones. She married Ben H. Hazel, who died in 1937. She later married William Johnson, who also preceded her in death.
Johnson was a member of Trinity Baptist Church.
Survivors include a daughter, Emma "Tootie" Babb of Charleston; a sister, Vera Allbright of Pana, Ill.; eight grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two daughters, a brother and six sisters.
