COBDEN, Ill. -- Emily Jean Petty, 66, Cobden Route 2, died Sunday, Aug. 28, 1994, at Union County Hospital in Anna.
She was born July 18, 1928, in Decatur, daughter of Ralph and Hallie Stutes Glasford. She and James Petty were married July 20, 1946, in Jonesboro.
Survivors include her husband; six daughters, Carol Todd of Joliet, Linda Holan of Marion, Patty Mansfield of Bradley, Anita Wrench of Anna, Rose Vaughn of Cumberland Furnace, Tenn., Janice Stadelbacher of Cobden; seven sons, Jimmy Petty of Joliet, David and Richard Petty of Anna, Jeff, Mike, Donald and Paul Petty of Cobden; two brothers, Ralph Jr. and Phillip Glasford of Anna; three sisters, Mayme Petty of Philadelphia, Miss., Dorothy Goodpasture of Jonesboro, Ark., Barbara Porterfield of Dongola; 27 grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
Friends may call at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Cobden after 7 p.m. tonight.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Scott Harner officiating. Burial will be in Cobden Cemetery.
