ORAN -- Emil Kielhofner, 94, of Oran died Saturday, Dec. 21, 1991 at St. Francis Medical Center.
He was born in New Hamburg on Dec. 15, 1897 to Peter and Catherine Messmer Kielhofner.
He married Christine Schott on Aug. 14, 1924. She preceded him in death on June 20, 1980.
He was a member of the Guardian Angel Catholic Church and the St. Joseph Sodality, both of Oran. He retired from farming in 1966.
Survivors include: one daughter, Helen Gosche of Cape Girardeau; two sisters, Rose Bush and Marie Angermund, both of St. Louis; three grandchildren; and three great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sons, four brothers, and three sisters.
Friends may call at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran after 3 p.m. today. Parish prayers will be held at 7 tonight at the funeral chapel.
A funeral mass is scheduled at 10 a.m. Monday at the Guardian Angel Catholic Church with the Rev. Normand Varone officiating. Burial will follow at the Guardian Angel Catholic Cemetery in Oran.
