Emelia Marie Eakins of Cape Girardeau died Friday, May 5, 2017, at her home.

She was born Jan. 3, 2008, in Cape Girardeau to Eric E. Eakins and Tanure M. Wagner.

Survivors include her mother, Tanure M. Wagner of Cape Girardeau; father, Eric E. Eakins of Cape Girardeau; two brothers, Tristan S. Eakins and Gavin J. Eakins of Cape Girardeau; maternal grandparents, Bonnie and Stanley Wagner of St. Louis; paternal grandparents, Tim and Dorothy Raleigh of Sedalia, Missouri; maternal great-grandparents, Sue and Ken Schibler of St. Louis; and maternal great-grandmother, Eva Parrish of Vanceboro, North Carolina.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Ronnie E. Eakins; maternal great-grandfather, John A. Wagner; and paternal great-grandparents, Joe and Dorothy Mirgeaux.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home. Parish prayers will be at 4 p.m.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Mary's Cathedral, with the Revs. Allan Saunders and David Skillman officiating. Burial will be at Cape County Memorial Park Cemetery at a later date.

Memorial contributions may be given to Ronald McDonald House, St. Louis Children's Hospital or Make-A-Wish Foundation.
