PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Elzo Leo Lint, 92, of Perryville died Thursday, Aug. 29, 2013, at Ste. Genevieve Memorial Hospital in Ste. Genevieve, Mo.
He was born Aug. 22, 1921, in Shellsburg, Iowa, son of Ira and Lettie Larson Lint. He and Kathryn Smith were married July 21, 1961, in Shellsburg.
Elzo was a welder in coal mines.
He was a life member of VFW and a member of American Legion Post 133. He was of the Lutheran belief.
He was a Navy veteran of World War II and the Korean War.
Survivors include his wife, Kathryn Lint of Ste. Genevieve; two sons, Dennis Lint of Pennsylvania, David Lint of South Carolina; six daughters, Diane Judge of Bushnell, Ill., Carolyn Reeves, Janet Schemel and Pan Manche, all of Perryville, Connie Hoopingarner of Wappapello, Mo., and Theresa Marks of Chester, Ill.; 21 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two sons, two brothers and a sister.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday and from 6:30 a.m. until service time Tuesday at Miller Family Funeral Home.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Lawrence N. Bradt officiating. Burial will be in Immanuel Lutheran Cemetery with graveside military honors courtesy of American Legion Post 133 and Delta Team.
