Elzena "Sue" Brandenburg, 90, of Jackson passed away Friday, June 25, 2021, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

She was born April 11, 1931, in Jackson. She was the daughter of Charles and Verba Blaylock Flanagin.

Sue was a graduate of Jackson High School, Southeast Missouri State University and Washburn University in Topeka, Kansas.

She lived most of her life in Topeka, where she owned and operated the Sue Brandenburg CPA Accounting Firm.

Loving survivors include her son, David Brandenburg of Jackson; two siblings, Paul (the late Hulda) Flanagin of Jackson and Judy (the late Gary) Nagel of Wildwood, Missouri; and nieces and nephews.

Sue was preceded in death by a young daughter, Lori Brandenburg; a sister, Mary Moyers; and her parents.

Visitation will be from 1 to 2 p.m. Wednesday at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Sam Roethemeyer officiating. Burial will follow at Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.

Memorials may take the form of contributions to the Humane Society of Southeast Missouri.
