Elvin Dean McClard, 82, of Prospect, Tenn., passed away Wednesday, Aug. 28, 2013, at NHC Healthcare in Pulaski, Tenn.
He was born Jan. 29, 1931, at Neelys Landing. He was retired from the U.S. Air Force and loved hunting, fishing and dancing.
He is survived by two daughters, Dereice McClard of Arkansas and Deana (Clay) Dayton of Madison, Tenn.; a granddaughter, Kimberly (Dustin) Freeman of Madison, Ala.; a sister, Lusella (Donald) Jones of Arizona; and several nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Stella Evelyn Humphries; his parents, Harry Newton McClard and Myrtle Alice Craft; and brothers, Truman McClard, Donald McClard, Marvin Mason McClard and Hershel McClard.
A graveside service was Aug. 30 at Prospect Cemetery in Prospect.
Bennett-May-Giles County Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
