PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Elva M. Weibrecht, 77, of Perryville died Sunday, Aug. 27, 2000, at the Perry County Nursing Home.
She was born Feb. 18, 1923, in Perry County in Missouri, daughter of Daniel J. and Mary Urthel Welker Zahner. She and Alvin P. Weibrecht were married April 19, 1941. He died May 8, 1977.
Weibrecht had worked at the International Shoe Co. and The Miraculous Medal Office Mailing Department. She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and was a frequent quilter at the community center.
Survivors include four sons, David W., Larry F., Kenneth P. and Mark A. Weibrecht, all of Perryville; four daughters, Velda M. Walker of Arnold, Mo., Dianne P. Denstedt of Webster Grove, Mo., Sandra A. Lohmann of Perryville and Karen A. Okenfuss of Ste. Genevieve, Mo.; three brothers, Alonzo and Oliver Zahner, both of Perryville and Raymond Zahner of Pampano Beach, Fla.; a sister, Eleanor Hagan of Perryville; 18 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a son and a brother.
Friends may call from 4 to 9 p.m. today and from 6:30 to 9:40 a.m. Tuesday at Young and Sons Chapel at Perryville. Catholic wake service will be at 7 p.m. today and the rosary will be at 8:15 a.m. Tuesday.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, with the Rev. Kevin Fausz officiating. Burial will follow at Mount Hope Cemetery.
