BLOOMFIELD -- Elton Fish, 74, of Bloomfield, died Sunday, Aug. 27, 1995, at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Memphis, Tenn.
He was born Aug. 29, 1920, at White Oak, son of Sherman and Osa McDaniel Fish. He and Thelma Morland were married Feb. 23, 1946.
Fish retired as a press operator with Bussman Manufacturing Co. in St. Louis. He had lived in Bloomfield since 1965.
Survivors include three sons, Harmon Fish of Bloomfield, Al Fish of Puxico, Lee Fish of Tucson, Ariz.; two daughters, Fran Hanner and Judy Pry of Bloomfield; two brothers, Herbert Fish of Tipton, Eslie Fish of Doniphan; four sisters, Mabel Goodwin of Pontiac, Mich., Lorene Rogers of Mt. Vernon, Mo., June Cooper of Malden, Verldean Reddick of Puxico; 15 grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers.
Friends may call at Chiles-Cooper Funeral Home after 6 p.m. today.
Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Vernon Cooper officiating. Burial will be in Bloomfield Cemetery.
