ALTENBURG, Mo. -- Elsie M. Schroeder, 76, of Altenburg died Wednesday, July 4, 2001, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau. She was born March 20, 1925, near Altenburg, daughter of Joseph and Bertha Frances Perr Schroeder. Schroeder had worked at Cater Carburetor in St. Louis. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and Ladies Aid in Altenburg, Perry County Club in St. Louis, VFW Auxiliary 6407 in Scott City, Mo., and United Auto Workers...

ALTENBURG, Mo. -- Elsie M. Schroeder, 76, of Altenburg died Wednesday, July 4, 2001, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

She was born March 20, 1925, near Altenburg, daughter of Joseph and Bertha Frances Perr Schroeder.

Schroeder had worked at Cater Carburetor in St. Louis. She was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and Ladies Aid in Altenburg, Perry County Club in St. Louis, VFW Auxiliary 6407 in Scott City, Mo., and United Auto Workers.

Survivors include a brother, Merlin Schroeder of Frohna, Mo.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a brother, and two sisters.

Friends may call at Young and Sons East Perry Chapel from 5-9 p.m. today, and 6:30-8:30 a.m. Saturday.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Immanuel Lutheran Church. The Rev. Charles Weber will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
