ELSIE RANKIN

PARMA -- Elsie Tinker Rankin, 92, of Poplar Bluff died Wednesday, March 1, 2000, at Lucy Lee Hospital in Poplar Bluff.

She was born Aug. 8, 1907, at Steele, daughter of Jim and Mary Alice Flowers Fuwell. She and Phillip Tinker were married Oct. 10, 1926. He died Aug. 27, 1966. She and Harry Rankin were married Dec. 26, 1968, at Kennett. He died Dec. 21, 1995.

Rankin lived at Parma from 1926 until moving to Poplar Bluff in 1980.

Survivors include two sons, Don Tinker of Poplar Bluff, T.A. Tinker of Doniphan; two daughters, Geraldine Sims of St. Louis, Iris Farrow of Tampa, Fla.; a brother, Willard Fuwell of Flint, Mich.; a stepdaughter, Louise Bales of Michigan; two stepsons, Harry and Tom Rankin of Poplar Bluff; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son.

Friends may call at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Parma after 11 a.m. Saturday.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Steve Proctor officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery at Malden.
