CHAFFEE -- Elsie Mae Miller, 80, of Chaffee died Wednesday, April 2, 1997, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was born April 12, 1916, in Luxora, Ark., daughter of Frank Lee and Essie May Whiteside Shanks. She and Emery H. Miller were married Nov. 25, 1936. He died May 5, 1969.
Miller retired as a family service representative with DAEOC in Portageville. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Chaffee, and Order of Eastern Star Chapter 342 at Morley.
Survivors include a son, Frank Miller of Chaffee; a daughter, Margaret Obermann of Chaffee; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers and three half brothers.
Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee after 4 p.m. today. A prayer service will be held at 6:30.
Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the chapel, with the Rev. Gerald Collier officiating. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Garden near Morley.
