NEW WELLS, Mo. -- Elsie E. Meyr, 98, of New Wells died Wednesday, Oct. 4, 2000, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Aug. 6, 1902, at New Wells, daughter of Albert and Pauline Holt Niederstadt. She and Wilhelm John Meyr were married May 25, 1924. He died Dec. 13, 1981.
Meyr was a longtime member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and its Ladies Aid.
Survivors include two sons, Lawrence Meyr of St. Louis, Melvin Meyr of Moberly, Mo.; two daughters, Arlene Coulter of Overland, Mo., Nelda Kridel of New Wells; a half sister, Lucille Brase of Illinois; eight grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, three sisters, and a stepbrother.
Friends may call at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson, Mo., from 4-8 p.m. Friday, and Saturday after 9 a.m. at Immanuel Church.
Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the church, with the Rev. Walter Patzwitz officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
