JACKSON -- Elsie Marie "Mee-Maw" Evans, 72, of Sedalia, died Thursday, July 15, 1993, at Bothwell Regional Health Center in Sedalia. She was born Aug. 20, 1920, at Jackson, daughter of Homer I. and Frieda K. Hanschen O'Neal. She married Charles Q. Evans in July 1939 at Cape Girardeau. He died Feb. 26, 1967...

JACKSON -- Elsie Marie "Mee-Maw" Evans, 72, of Sedalia, died Thursday, July 15, 1993, at Bothwell Regional Health Center in Sedalia.

She was born Aug. 20, 1920, at Jackson, daughter of Homer I. and Frieda K. Hanschen O'Neal.

She married Charles Q. Evans in July 1939 at Cape Girardeau. He died Feb. 26, 1967.

Evans had lived in Sedalia since 1957. She was employed 24 years as a desk clerk at State Fair Motor Inn in Sedalia.

She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church at Jackson.

Survivors are daughters, Nancy Evans, Sedalia, and Katherine VanNatta, Oak Hills, Calif.; a sister, Ruth Russell, Cape Girardeau; five grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

Service will be today at 10:30 a.m. at McLaughlin Funeral Chapel in Sedalia with the Rev. Ronald E. Hoehne officiating.

Graveside service will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson with the Rev. Walter Keisker officiating.
