Elsie R. Hagan, 80, of Dearing, Georgia, entered into rest Tuesday, May 27, 2014.
She was born April 3, 1934, in Swinton, Missouri, daughter of James Lee and Sylvia Helen Morris Lee. She married Eugene Hagan on July 29, 1952.
Elsie moved to McDuffie County, Georgia, in 1963 and made her home in Dearing. She was of the Lutheran belief. She was a faithful and devoted wife, mother and grandmother and will be missed by all.
Survivors include her beloved husband of 62 years, Eugene Hagan; a son, Darrel Hagan (Terry); daughters, Margie Hagan, Patricia Stephens (Tony) and Janet Wells (Michael), all of Dearing; a brother, James Robert Lee; two sisters, Beulah Lusk and Jackie Lee, all of Scott City; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sisters and a brother.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Beggs Funeral Home in Thomson, Georgia.
The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Beggs Chapel, with the Rev. Phil Bray officiating. Interment will be in Savannah Valley Memorial Gardens in Thomson.
