Elsie Funk, 87, of Cape Girardeau died Wednesday, Jan. 7, 1998, at St. Francis Medical Center. She was born Aug. 27, 1910, at Charleston, daughter of Oscar and Myrtle Mehnard Doughty. She and Walter Funk were married July 18, 1936, in Cape Girardeau. He died Oct. 13, 1995...

Elsie Funk, 87, of Cape Girardeau died Wednesday, Jan. 7, 1998, at St. Francis Medical Center.

She was born Aug. 27, 1910, at Charleston, daughter of Oscar and Myrtle Mehnard Doughty. She and Walter Funk were married July 18, 1936, in Cape Girardeau. He died Oct. 13, 1995.

Funk was a member of First Baptist Church.

Survivors include two sisters, Mildred Kerr and Emma Berry of Cape Girardeau.

She was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters.

There is no visitation.

A service will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at Memorial Park Mausoleum, with the Rev. S.S. Borum officiating.

Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
