OAK RIDGE, Mo. -- Elsie A. Friedrich, 91, of Jackson, Mo., died Saturday, Dec. 16, 2000, at Jackson Manor.
She was born July 2, 1909, in Oak Ridge, daughter of Charles and Edith Greable Cotner. She and Robert W. Gass were married in 1929. He died Dec. 25, 1965. She then married Raymond Friedrich Feb. 3, 1970. He died Aug. 12, 1996.
She was a cook on a river barge for some time and had worked at Southeast Missouri Hospital as a nurses aide. She was a lifelong member of the Oak Ridge United Methodist Church. She had lived in the Oak Ridge community prior to moving to Jackson.
She is survived by a son, Charles "Chuck" Gass of Longton, Mo.; a sister, Frances Pharris of Sikeston, Mo.; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons, a daughter, a grandson and a great-grandson.
Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. today at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson.
Funeral will be at 1 p.m.. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Sam Roethemeyer officiating. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery.
