Elsie L. Davis, 95, of Millersville passed away Monday, Jan. 14, 2013, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
She was born Jan. 18, 1917, in Jackson, daughter of William and Lizzie Hamen Mason. She and George Raymond Davis were married in 1931. He passed away in 1988.
Elsie was a very loving and caring mother and grandmother. She enjoyed dancing, gardening, and animals, especially dogs and red birds. Elsie was a tough, outspoken, German farmer who patrolled her farm with four-wheeler and gun, and mowed her own yard until she was 90. She was a delight to know.
Loving survivors include a daughter, Dorothy Jean Boyd of the state of California; two grandchildren, Kathy (Jeff) Randall of Millersville, Mike (Bonnie) Boyd of the state of California; eight great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her husband of 57 years, she was preceded in death by a sister.
A memorial ceremony will be held in the spring.
